Awning width: frame size, fabric size or shaded area?

JYAVENRO

Put overall product width, fabric width and the desired shaded area on separate lines. They describe different things. For initial model selection, use the width and projection definitions confirmed on the supplier’s drawing.

Name each measurement

On a front elevation, mark the product’s outer edges. On a plan, mark projection from the mounting line and furniture to be shaded. Do not substitute a terrace floor dimension for the overall cassette dimension without checking.

Do not invent a fabric deduction

The supplied tables are not a universal formula for converting cassette width into usable fabric width. Request the actual drawing if a particular table or doorway needs continuous shade across its full width.

Check shade at the time of use

A drawn roof footprint does not describe the shadow at every hour. Show the sun direction and the time the space is used. Low side light may call for a separate screen rather than a wider overhead product.
