Buying one custom awning: from measurements to handover

JYAVENRO

A single custom order needs the same clarity as a larger project: an agreed model, a dimensioned drawing, a defined supply scope and a handover record. Begin with the site, not a copied brochure maximum.

Photograph from the supplied brochure: QHA full-cassette awning

Build a useful enquiry pack

Send location, overall and close-up photographs, preliminary width and depth, mounting surface and preferred use. State whether you need a front-post-free cassette awning or a supported folding roof.

Approve the drawing and responsibilities

Check dimensions, mounting parts, finish, fabric and controls on one written proposal. Separately identify shipping, site preparation, installation and electrical connection so a product price is not mistaken for a complete installed price.

Keep a practical handover record

At handover, record opening and closing checks, agreed settings, supplied instructions and the service contact. Keep model and component references so future support does not depend on remembering the original sales discussion.

Before you approve the order

  • Confirm model, overall width, projection and the drawing revision in one written order.
  • Match mounting parts, fabric reference, finish and controls to the quotation; document any substitution.
  • Agree delivery contents, site-work responsibilities, operating instructions and the service contact.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Can I order from a photograph without measurements?

A photo can start the discussion but cannot define manufacturing dimensions or mounting suitability. Approve measured drawings before production.
